The Katie Beckett Deeming Waiver in Georgia allows the state to ignore the family’s income bracket and offers Medicaid to children who are disabled.

Who qualifies?

Children 18 years and younger
qualify as disabled individuals under the Social Security Act (§1614)
Live at home instead of an institution.

Keep in mind that these children must meet specific criteria to be covered. Qualification is based on the institutional level of care the child requires. Title 42 Code of Federal Regulations outlines the criteria used to determine eligibility instead of being based on medical diagnosis.
